Baptism is going public with your faith in Jesus and declaring for the world that He is Lord! Baptism is the next step after salvation and making a decision to follow Jesus. Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Saviour, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. Being a church ordinance, it is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lord’s Supper.

The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of the church, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.

Questions about Baptism?

People often have questions regarding baptism: Why should I be baptized? What if I’ve already been baptized, do I have to do it again? Does it matter if someone is sprinkled or dunked? If you would like answers to common questions about baptism or and would like to talk to someone about it, any of our pastors would gladly have a conversation with you about it. CONTACT a Delaney Pastor.

Baptism for Kids & Students

It is great to witness a young person taking a stand for Jesus and giving their life for Him!

Any student (Grades K-12) interested in getting baptized should have a one-on-one conversation with our Family and Youth Pastor. Contact Pastor Richard Miller for more information on baptisms or to setup a conversation with him. CONTACT Pastor Richard Miller.
