Steps to take to reclaim the “abandoned love you first had” in Revelation 2:4:
- Pray. James: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
- Start the morning off with God. Recite John Statt’s “Morning Prayer”, recite one of the Puritan Prayers “The Valley of Vision”, read a good devotional like Paul David Tripp’s “New Morning Mercies.”
- Read the Word of God and DO the Word of God.
- Sing to God with all of your heart, all of your soul, all of your mind, and with all of your strength.
- Tell someone about Jesus.
- Give thanks- in everything.
